KEVIN DUNBAR was born in Belfast in 1955 and studied at Newcastle-upon-Tyne School of Art and Hull College of Art. His mixed exhibitions include Ferens and Postergate Galleries in Hull, Gladstone Court and Nelson Hall Studios in Edinburgh and Heatherlys, Barbican Concourse Gallery, The Heritage Centre Spitalfields, London and Hibernian Academy of Arts, Dublin.

He is currently working on a series of paintings reflecting his long obsession with painting and dealing primarily with the articulation of colour and the more formal approaches to painting.

Now working in London, the starting point for a series of work can often be from his frequent visits to the Atlantic coasts of Scotland, Northern Ireland and South West Cornwall.
